for mums and daughters

7-10 JUNE 2019

A retreat organised by Niki Moss Simpson.
This mum-daughter workshop is all about spending time together in a valuable, creative way

The adolescent years can be really challenging and sometimes mums and daughters become disconnected. It can feel confusing or hurtful as your daughter, once very close, turns away and seeks her identity through friendships and her outer circle. Time away together, supported by professionals, can help rekindle a positive relationship for both mum and daughter. Meeting other mums and daughters and having the time and space to relax, learn scientifically proven tools and ancient wisdom together can help foster new understanding of this normal transition.

This retreat is specifically for mums and their daughters in a beautiful, peaceful location and away from the distractions of TV, internet and social media, noise and chaos where mums and daughters can experience connection and laughter, self-development, holistic lifestyle tips and workshops, yoga, mindfulness, healthy and wholesome food, guided relaxation, stress management, women’s wisdom, art and cookery workshops, journaling, and walking meditation in a stunning location.

It is a powerful and restorative weekend to help support a healthy mum-daughter relationship, encourage honest and shared connection in a positively supportive environment and enable both to leave with tools and skills to welcome empathy and compassion and a vibrant, vital and holistic lifestyle.

Niki’s collaborators will be:

Katrien Claus, the Montepallars founder, will be giving a cooking workshop, focusing on the senses: a fun way of building connections and bridges. For more details, see Katrien’s bio.

Onke Truijen a portrait artist and art teacher; her portraits and workshops are all about observation, seeing the whole picture, how to see in new ways and be intuitive, imaginative and your creative self. The result is a boho inspired, colourful expressionist portrait either in acrylic paint or soft pastels on canvas or cardboard. By teaching you how to see in new ways, I’ll take you on this journey towards a new view of the person in front of you, either in the mirror when it’s a self portrait or the model before you.

Liz Evans is a professional photographer with 10 years experience and 13 year old twins. She therefore knows exactly how to capture beautiful relationships between families and looks forward to producing magical portraits of you mothers and daughters. You can view her work here
